This book by Nicole Perlroth takes a deep dive into zero day exploits and the market that grows around them. It shows how hidden software vulnerabilities become strategic tools for governments, intelligence agencies, and attackers.

My impressions

The part that really stood out to me was the value attached to a single exploit. When one vulnerability can be worth millions, it changes the way you think about patching, disclosure, and cyber conflict.

It also does a good job showing how cyber risk is shaped by political decisions, not just technical ones.
